Consistency is about the only thing that works. Play with his paws daily as though you're trying to clip his nails and brush him daily. He is still a puppy and will be wiggly but will eventually get used to it.

Try directing his attention by giving him something to chew on. Also, you should make him understand that the time you spend together is important, so pet him and talk to him. He will soon appreciate grooming and clipping and think of it as bonding time.

dude, it's a 4 MONTH old puppy. don't try to do it for too long otherwise it gets bored and starts to play with you, which is the 'trying to bite the brush' bit. Try it for a couple of minutes if it stays still, verbally praise it and at the same time stroke it's chest. Increase the brushing time when it gets pass the couple of minute mark. Increase the time spent grooming the puppy and remember to praise its good behaviour.

since its still a puppy.... it has a pretty short attention span... but work with him... domestic dogs have to be trained to be used to be handled by people.... so... it is still sorta training.... BUT.... you have to try to comb a little more often.. about twice a day... for about 15 minutes... so the puppy can get used to it... one of the reasons that the puppy bites the brush is because it hurts.... so try to be more gentle..... You dont need to clip his nails, the vet will do this for you when you get his fur cut. Brushing isnt nesessary but try and do it just beforehe goes to bed because he will eb tired and more relaxed! GOOD LUCK!

I cut my puppy's nails when he is asleep. Just be very careful. Get one of those brushes like the barbers give guys with flat tops that you can slip on your hand. He won't be able to bite it then!
