African American guys - what do you use to shave?

My husband is an African American living in NZ with me and we can't find some hair clippers or face shavers that can handle his hair. What brands/types of electric shavers work for you guys, and which website would I go to to find one.

Excessively curly hair is difficult to manage shaving is often irritating because the larger pores make the skin more tender. .

For shaving, electric shavers are not recommended for brown skinned males because the oil of the skin is heavier and does not allow a smooth traveling surface for the electric shaver.. Your best bet is a depilitory powder sold under various brand names, these products lift the hair from the root and results in an excellent shave; However there is a slight problem , the chemicals have a tendency to remain on the skin although washed off.by normal rinsing.

For details see our article, "A Smooooother Shave" for more advice;

We will place a shaving link at the bottom of our home page, just scroll down and click on, "shaving". This article will not appear until March 1, 2008, but yu can have a sneak preview.

This article, "A Smooooother shave" is for all races to improve skin and health of facial tissues.

For hair management use Wahl brand clippers.

firstly i am a girl but i am half African American and half Kiwi and i am also a hairdresser so wahl which is a hairdressing brand is very good and strong but you should look up on American hairdressing supplies/suppliers I'm in Australia so I'm not sure but we have a few hair salons here that specialise in African styles so maybe you have them over there good luck if you have no luck you could ring a salon direct and ask for them to get a set in for you
