Hair Loss (Balding in a Man)?

My boyfriend is 24 and has been thinning on top for a few years he is gettting a bit depressed about it and keeps shaving his head (not compltly but the shortest on the clippers). I have tried to encourage him to grow it but he is not interested. Is there anything you can actually do to make your hair grow back? I know it is a silly question but thought i'd try my luck.

Bald men can be very sexy. He could try rogain but I am not sure of the success. The other alternatives are costly. It is most likely in his genetics and may be best off accepting this. There are hair pieces if he is really self conscious.

I started to go Bald when I was 24, and now I am 25 I shave my head completely with a razor - Like it or not it looks better than having either really thin hair, or loads of hair on the back and sides but nothing on top.

im in the same boat as ur boyfriend and get the same "haircut" on the shortest clipper setting which does make it look like u have more hair. also there are some things to try, not all are successful but im on a regime of 3 things and my hair is growing back.

1. rogaine- spray on

2. nioxin- shampoo and conditioner

3. proscar- a pill prescribed by ur doctor. its a cheaper version of propecia which was developed for men with prostate cancer but they found in lower doses one of the side effects what hair growth, and only on top or your head. make sure if u get it prescribed u ask for proscare cuz propecia costs 4 times as much.

no one said its a cheap process but like i said, its working for me so............and just out of curiousity, if he dosent wanna grow it back, why are u asking?
