Shaving hair?

Going to shave my boyfriend's hair. We want to do a number two, or perhaps number one. But the blades that come with the clippers all say 3/8, 1/4 etc. or 3mm, 7mm. Which would we use to get a number two all over, and which for a number one all over? Should the lever on the side be moved at all?

Any tips for getting it smooth all over, so it doesn't look shorter in places?

Thanks

Use the 3mm blade, keep clippers at constant angle to scalp when cutting. After the clip, why not lather up the head and just shave it???? It will grow out within a couple of days to stubble, no matter what you do, and he can shave it in the shower if it is shaved...much easier than all this clipping. But clip the first time. If he shaves it, make sure the hair/scalp is good and wet, plenty of shaving cream. Try to shave in direction hair grows, not against the grain. Good luck

On a hair trimmer, no. 1 is with no clipper.

Go to a salon

You pull the lever em? down i think it is so the teeth are close together. Depending on how thick hes hair is, put the largest size clip on there to take away the meat of the hair then work lower down until its comfortable to continue shaving. then use the 2nd smallest size for a No.2. for back and side burns use no clips.

Use a number 2 to get a close shave, a number one will leave him pretty bald, so about a 7 mm will do.

The best thing to do is use a long one, then if the hair is not short enough use the next one on the trimmer that is shorter, until he finds the length he likes.

Sorted!

The number one guard attachment should be 1/8, two should be 1/4. Every clipper brand has different guard sizes, there really isn't a set standard. The best I can say is to set them all out in order and the smallest will be the 1 guard.

To make it smooth, just keep shaving all over the head, go back over areas that look uneven. A lot depends on his head shape. DON'T bear down with the clippers or you will gap his hair. Why don't you just have him to go a barber shop so he can get a $5 clipper cut....

the graders start from 1 to 5 or more the easiest way is to get the smallest first that,s grade one and so forth and for an all over finish just take your time and go over it a few times
